Fat Phobia and Fat Sex

Fat Phobia and Fat Sex

The Fat Phobia and Fat Sex course explores how fat stigma, body image, and sociocultural influences impact sexuality, intimacy, and relationships. Drawing on Dr. Jason Jones's research, participants will examine the roots of fat phobia, the sexual experiences of fat women, and the effects of shame, stigma, confidence, and partner support on sexual wellbeing. Participants will also learn how to apply these findings to sex therapy models using weight-inclusive, fat-affirming approaches. This introductory course is 2 hours (including breaks). Course content is 1.5 hours long (1.5 AASECT CEs).
