Introduction to Couples Counselling - Part 1

About The Course

Couple's Therapy - Part 1 provides an introduction to key theories, strategies, and interventions used in couples counselling. Participants will explore common relationship challenges, including communication difficulties, intimacy concerns, trust issues, conflict, and parenting dynamics, while learning how to create safe and effective therapeutic spaces for couples.

 

The course examines evidence-based approaches such as Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Attachment Theory, and other counselling models, helping clinicians develop practical skills for working with couples and navigating complex relationship dynamics. This introductory course is 3 hours (including breaks). Course content is 2.5 hours long (2.5 AASECT CEs).
